Corruption

  Corruption in Indonesia comes in many ways, starting from minor corruption made when the public is able to bribe their way through road trafficking. Massive corruption also happens a lot in Indonesia, one of the example is Akil Mochtar, Chief of justice for Indonesian constitutional court is caught receiving a bribe worth about 3 billion rupiah (USD 22,000) Mochtar is then arrested. This case highlights the fact that corruption happens in one of the most powerful institution of Indonesia (MK, Makham Constitution). MK plays a huge role in Indonesian economy, thus corruption in such institution could create problems or risk towards Indonesian economy.

  A lot of corruption happens on developing economy, which is Indonesia. The red indicate high percentage of corruption while blue indicate low percentage of corruption.

   As you can see the map shows that most of the countries paint in red are developing countries or less developed countries. A lot of people might not correlate corruption with economic growth
